Thank you for using Illuminated. Your privacy is important to us, and we want to be transparent about how we handle your information.

Information We Collect

Illuminated does not require an account, name, email address, or advertising identifier to use the app. Your music files and the contents of your music library remain on your device and are not uploaded to our analytics service.

Optional Usage Analytics

Illuminated asks for your permission before enabling usage analytics. If you allow it, the app sends limited usage and technical information to an analytics service operated for Illuminated. We use this information only to understand how the app is used, improve features, and identify stability or performance problems.

The analytics information may include:

• Randomly generated installation and event identifiers.
• Your device platform, Illuminated app version, major operating-system version, and event timestamps.
• Library and operation sizes expressed as broad ranges rather than exact lists.
• Feature interactions, such as playback source, import source, crate-session activity, and Smart Playlist configuration.
• Technical error and performance information used to keep Illuminated stable and responsive.

Analytics does not include your music files, track titles, artist or album names, playlist names or contents, file paths, or a list of the music in your library.

Analytics is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Analytics Choices

You can change your analytics preference at any time in Illuminated's Settings. Turning off Share Usage Analytics stops new analytics collection.

Analytics Storage and Third-Party Services

Usage analytics is stored in Illuminated's own analytics backend. We do not send this information to Google Analytics or other third-party analytics or advertising platforms, and we do not sell it or use it to build advertising profiles.

Infrastructure providers may process limited network information, such as an IP address, as necessary to deliver, secure, and operate the service. We do not use that network information to identify you or to enrich analytics data.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your information. Analytics is sent only to the Illuminated analytics service described above and is not shared with third-party analytics or advertising platforms.

Your Choices

You can withdraw analytics consent at any time by turning off Share Usage Analytics in Settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date above.
